Legal & Policies
Welcome to Meal Plan Dubai! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website and meal plan subscription services ("Services"). By registering an account or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms — please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or Services.
Minimum Age: You must be at least 18 years old to register or use our Services. By signing up, you represent that you meet this requirement. Minors are not permitted to create accounts or place orders.
UAE Only: Our Services are available exclusively within the United Arab Emirates ("UAE"). Our country of domicile is the UAE. Although our website may be accessible internationally, you must have a valid UAE mobile number and a UAE delivery address to register and place orders. We do not accept orders for delivery outside the UAE.
Service Area: We deliver across major cities in all seven Emirates — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain. Certain remote or low-density areas may fall outside our coverage. If your address is in an unsupported area, we will notify you before confirming your order and may request an alternative address.
Language: Our platform and customer support are provided in English. By using our Service, you confirm you understand English sufficiently to read these Terms and any communications from us.
Creating an Account: To access our Services, you must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information — including your full name, delivery address, email address, and a valid UAE mobile number for SMS/WhatsApp verification.
One Account Per Person: Each individual may hold only one account. Accounts are personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Keeping Information Current: You agree to promptly update your account details if anything changes. Incorrect information (such as a wrong address) may result in failed deliveries or order cancellation, for which we cannot be held responsible.
Suspected Breach: If you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation, contact us immediately. We are not liable for losses resulting from failure to secure your credentials.
Meal Plan Subscription: Meal Plan Dubai offers subscription-based prepared meal delivery plans. Upon purchasing a plan, you receive freshly prepared meals delivered to your specified address on a regular, agreed schedule. Plans are available in various durations (weekly, monthly, bi-monthly) and in different meal frequencies per day. Full details — number of meals per day, delivery days, and schedule — are displayed on our website and confirmed at checkout.
Menu & Customisation: All plans follow a standard rotating menu. We cannot customise meals for specific dietary regimes or individual allergies beyond the options listed on our website (see Section 8 for allergy guidance).
Packaging & Preservation: We use Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) to maintain the freshness and shelf life of our meals. Where MAP is temporarily unavailable, we may use equivalent food-grade packaging with the addition of potassium sorbate (E202) — an internationally approved preservative — at a concentration of no more than 0.2%, in full compliance with UAE food safety standards. Shelf life and freshness are not affected by this substitution. We reserve the right to use equivalent preservation methods that meet UAE regulatory standards.
Personal Use Only: Our Services are for personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell meals or subscriptions or use our Services in breach of any UAE law.
Prices: All prices are listed in UAE Dirhams (AED) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. The total amount payable — including any delivery surcharges or freeze fees — is displayed clearly at checkout before payment is taken.
Full Prepayment Required: Payment in full is required upfront for the chosen plan duration. Deliveries will not commence until payment is successfully processed. If payment fails or is reversed, your plan will be placed on hold.
Accepted Payment Methods: We accept major credit and debit cards (in AED) and split-payment options through approved providers. By providing a card, you confirm you are the authorised cardholder. All payments are processed through a secure, encrypted gateway; your full card number and CVV are never stored on our servers.
Saved Payment Details: You may opt in to saving a secure payment token for future transactions or auto-renewal. We will only store payment details when you explicitly choose to do so. Stored data is handled in compliance with applicable security standards.
Currency & Conversion: All transactions are processed in AED. International cardholders may incur currency conversion fees set by their bank — these are outside our control.
Statement Descriptor: Charges will appear on your bank statement under "MEAL PLAN DUBAI" or our registered business name.
Receipts: An electronic receipt is issued after every successful payment. Formal tax invoices are available on request by contacting customer support.
We may offer promotional or discount codes ("Promo Codes") from time to time. Unless the specific promotion states otherwise, the following rules apply:
We may modify or end any promotion at our discretion. Changes will not affect codes already validly redeemed.
Coverage: We deliver across major urban areas in the UAE. Delivery to P.O. boxes or locations outside the UAE is not available. If your address falls outside our service area, we will notify you before confirming your order.
Start Date: Deliveries begin on the agreed start date selected at checkout. The confirmed start date will be included in your order confirmation via email or WhatsApp.
Schedule & Timing: Your delivery frequency is determined by your chosen plan. We aim for consistent delivery times each day; however, exact times may vary within the agreed window due to traffic or operational factors.
Receiving Your Delivery: You are responsible for being available — or arranging an authorised recipient (such as a household member or building concierge) — at the delivery address during the agreed window.
Unattended Drop-off: If you request that we leave meals at your door or with a third party, all risk of loss or spoilage passes to you at the moment of drop-off. We strongly recommend refrigerating meals immediately upon receipt.
Changing Address or Time Slot: Any permanent change to your delivery address or time slot requires at least 72 hours' (3 business days') notice before the next scheduled delivery. Last-minute requests are subject to feasibility and are not guaranteed.
Delays: We will communicate proactively if a delay is anticipated. If a delivery is missed entirely due to our fault, we will re-deliver, extend your plan, or provide appropriate credit.
Non-Service Days: If we cannot deliver on a public holiday or scheduled kitchen closure, we will notify you in advance and either extend your plan or adjust pricing accordingly.
Transfer of Ownership: Ownership and risk in the meals transfer to you upon delivery. Prompt collection and refrigeration are strongly recommended.
Insulated Chiller Boxes: Meals are delivered in purpose-built insulated chiller boxes designed to maintain a safe cold chain from our kitchen to your door.
Box Return: We encourage you to return empty boxes to our courier at the time of your next delivery. This helps us minimise packaging waste and keep our operations sustainable.
Disclosing Allergies: You must inform us of any food allergies or intolerances before starting your plan — during sign-up or by contacting customer support. We will do our best to advise whether our menu may contain those allergens. However, our plans follow a fixed menu and cannot be individually tailored beyond the options we publish.
Cross-Contamination Risk: Our kitchen handles a wide variety of ingredients, including common allergens such as dairy, eggs, nuts, gluten, soy, and shellfish. We do not operate allergen-free facilities. There is an inherent risk of cross-contamination. If you have a severe allergy, please consult your physician before subscribing.
Ingredient Labels: Every meal comes with an ingredient list and nutritional information. You are responsible for reviewing this before consuming any meal.
No Specialised Medical Diets: Our plans are designed for general healthy eating and portion management. We do not cater for medically prescribed diets, clinical nutritional requirements, or highly restrictive regimes (e.g., strict therapeutic protocols) unless explicitly stated in the plan description.
Medical Conditions: If you have a diagnosed medical condition (including diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, pregnancy, or any condition requiring a controlled diet), please consult your healthcare provider before subscribing. By signing up, you confirm that a standard meal plan is suitable for you, or that your doctor has approved it.
Your Responsibility: By subscribing, you acknowledge the potential presence of allergens and accept that Meal Plan Dubai is not liable for adverse reactions, provided that the allergens were disclosed in the meal labelling.
Pausing Deliveries: We offer a limited "pause" feature for subscribers who need a short break (e.g., travel). The number of pause weeks available depends on your plan and is displayed at checkout.
Notice Required: Pause requests must be submitted at least 72 hours before the first day you wish to pause. You can do this via your online account or by contacting your account manager. Last-minute requests (less than 72 hours) may not be accommodated, as meals may already be in preparation.
Resumption: All paused days are appended to the end of your plan — you receive every meal you paid for, just shifted. When your pause period ends, deliveries resume automatically or on the date you specify.
Freezing (Extended Hold): For longer breaks (up to 30 days), an extended freeze is available for an additional fee of 90 AED. This is typically available on multi-month plans or in special circumstances (e.g., medical reasons or extended travel). Contact us to arrange a freeze and confirm the applicable terms.
Unused Pause Days: Unused pause allowances expire at the end of your plan and cannot be converted to cash or credit.
Plan Upgrades: If you wish to upgrade (e.g., increase meals per day or extend duration), please contact us. Upgrades are subject to approval and a pro-rated fee difference.
Plan Downgrades: Reducing your plan mid-subscription is generally not permitted (see Section 10 for early cancellation).
Confirmation: All pause, freeze, and plan change approvals will be confirmed in writing via email or WhatsApp. Please retain these for your records.
No Change-of-Mind Refunds: We do not issue refunds for cancellations due to personal preference, change of plans, or similar reasons. If you choose to stop using the service mid-plan, no refund is issued for the unused portion. We encourage you to use the pause or freeze options instead of cancelling.
Extenuating Circumstances: In genuinely exceptional cases — such as a serious medical emergency or enforced relocation outside the UAE — we may consider a partial refund or account credit at the sole discretion of Meal Plan Dubai management. We may require supporting documentation (e.g., a doctor's certificate or proof of relocation). Any approved refund will be pro-rated for undelivered meals, minus any discount value or costs already incurred.
Refund Calculation:
Cancellation by Meal Plan Dubai: If we must cancel your plan for operational reasons (e.g., service discontinuation in your area), you will receive a proportional refund for all undelivered meals. If a single delivery is missed due to our fault and cannot be remedied, we will credit or refund that delivery's value.
Non-Transferable: Your subscription is personal to you. You may not transfer remaining meals or days to another person without our prior written consent. In exceptional cases, we may allow a plan transfer to a family member or friend in the same delivery area, subject to our approval.
Your Statutory Rights: Nothing in this policy overrides any rights you hold as a consumer under UAE law, including the UAE Consumer Protection Law.
Requesting a Review: To request a cancellation exception, contact us as soon as possible with a full explanation. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.
Opt-In Only: Your subscription will not renew automatically by default. Auto-renewal is an optional feature you must explicitly enable — for example, by selecting it at checkout or in your account settings.
How Auto-Renewal Works: If you opt in:
Cancelling Auto-Renewal: You may turn off auto-renewal at any time with no penalty. To avoid being charged for the next term, you must cancel at least 72 hours before the scheduled renewal date. Contact customer support via email or WhatsApp to disable it, and keep the confirmation for your records.
Missed Cancellation: If you miss the 72-hour window and payment processes, contact us immediately. We assess these on a case-by-case basis. If meals have already been prepared or delivered for the new term, a refund may not be possible. It is your responsibility to disable auto-renewal on time.
Transparency Commitment: Our auto-renewal practices comply with UAE consumer protection norms, including clear disclosure, affirmative consent, advance notice, and easy cancellation mechanisms.
Transactional Messages: By subscribing, you consent to receiving transactional communications — such as order confirmations, delivery updates, plan expiry reminders, and important service notices — via WhatsApp, SMS, email, or phone. These are essential to the service and cannot be opted out of while you are an active subscriber.
Marketing Communications: Promotional messages (new plans, special offers, menu updates) are sent only if you opt in. You can update your marketing preferences in your account settings or contact support to update them at any time.
Opting Out of Marketing: Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link. For WhatsApp/SMS, reply "STOP" or contact support. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional messages.
Social Media: If you engage with our official Instagram or Facebook pages, you may receive updates via those platforms. We do not use your personal data to spam you on social media without consent.
Messaging Costs: Standard carrier rates may apply for SMS. WhatsApp messages are typically free over data or Wi-Fi; any telecom charges are your responsibility.
Consent Records: We record opt-in timestamps for compliance purposes. If you believe you've received unwanted messages, contact us and we will address it promptly.
Lawful Use: You agree to use our website and Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
Intellectual Property: All website content — including text, images, recipes, logos, and design — is owned by or licensed to Meal Plan Dubai and is protected by intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without explicit written permission.
Reviews & Feedback: If you post reviews or comments, you agree they will not be abusive, fraudulent, or unlawful. We reserve the right to moderate or remove any content that violates this policy. By submitting content to our platform or social media pages, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it (e.g., in marketing).
Third-Party Links: Links to external websites are provided for convenience only. We do not control third-party content and accept no responsibility for it. Clicking external links is at your own risk.
No Reselling: You may not resell our meals or subscriptions for commercial gain without a separate written agreement with us. Suspected resale activity may result in immediate account termination without refund.
Account Suspension: Fraud, harassment, false chargeback claims, or any other harmful behaviour may result in account suspension or termination and, where appropriate, a report to UAE law enforcement.
Your privacy is a priority. Our full Privacy Policy — incorporated into these Terms by reference — explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data. Please read it carefully.
Data Use: We collect and use your personal data only for purposes directly related to delivering our Services — order processing, delivery logistics, and customer support. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties for their own marketing.
Third-Party Processors: We share limited data with trusted service providers (e.g., delivery partners receive your address; payment gateways receive your card details). These parties are contractually bound to use your data only for the relevant service.
UAE Data Protection Law: We comply with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection (UAE PDPL). You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data as set out in our Privacy Policy.
Cookies: Our website uses cookies to improve user experience and analyse traffic. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice for full details.
"As Is" Service: Except as explicitly stated in these Terms or required by law, we provide our website and meal services "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, nor that the service will meet all subjective expectations (e.g., personal taste preferences).
Food Quality: We guarantee meals are prepared to UAE food safety standards. If you receive a spoiled or incorrectly prepared meal, contact us and we will arrange a replacement or credit. However, liability for health or quality issues is limited and referred to our food production partners where applicable. We are not liable for allergic reactions when the allergen was disclosed on the meal label (see Section 8).
Delivery Issues: If a delivery failure is our fault, our obligation is limited to re-delivery, plan extension, or a credit for that delivery. We are not liable for indirect inconvenience costs.
Maximum Liability: Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising from your use of our Services is capped at the total amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. This cap does not apply to gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UAE law.
Indirect Damages: To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost enjoyment or the cost of sourcing alternative meals.
No Health or Weight-Loss Guarantees: Nutritional information is provided for reference only. We make no medical or weight-management claims. Customers with health goals should consult qualified professionals.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Meal Plan Dubai, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any third-party claim, demand, or cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of our Services, or violation of any law or third-party right. This includes, for example, scenarios where you provide someone else's personal data without their consent or misuse the platform in a way that causes harm to others.
Legal Compliance: You agree to comply with all applicable UAE laws when using our Services.
Sanctions: We do not provide services to individuals or entities subject to sanctions by the UAE, the US (OFAC), or other relevant authorities. By ordering, you confirm you are not subject to such restrictions.
Prohibited Activities: The following are strictly prohibited:
Consequences: Violations may result in immediate account suspension, pursuit of any losses, and referral to UAE law enforcement where appropriate.
By You: You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Note that closing your account mid-plan does not entitle you to a refund of the unused portion, per our cancellation policy in Section 10.
By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for a valid reason — including breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or discontinuation of our Services. If termination is due to your misconduct, no refund is issued. If we terminate for our own convenience (e.g., closing down operations), we will refund any prepaid amount for undelivered meals.
Survival: Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including payment obligations, liability limitations, indemnification, and governing law — remain in effect after termination.
Updates to These Terms: We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and we will update the "Last updated" date accordingly. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice (e.g., via email or an in-app notification). Continued use of our Services after new Terms are published constitutes acceptance.
Changes to Services: We reserve the right to modify our menus, pricing (for new subscriptions), delivery logistics, or features at any time. If a change materially impacts an ongoing subscription (e.g., reducing delivery days), we will notify affected customers and offer alternatives, adjustments, or partial refunds where we cannot fulfil what was originally agreed.
If you disagree with any update, you should stop using our Services. Please feel free to contact us with any questions about changes.
Governing Law: These Terms and any disputes arising from them are governed by the laws of the UAE, including applicable federal laws and local regulations.
Jurisdiction: Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of UAE courts. We may designate Dubai courts as the primary venue, as our business is registered in Dubai, unless mandatory UAE law requires otherwise. If you reside in another emirate, we will respect your right to access the competent local courts as provided by law.
Amicable Resolution First: We strongly encourage customers to contact us before initiating formal proceedings. Most issues can be resolved quickly through our support team. We commit to good-faith negotiations to resolve any dispute.
Consumer Rights: Nothing in this section prevents you from pursuing a complaint through the UAE Consumer Protection Department or relevant regulatory authority. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
Limitation on Claims: Any claim arising out of your use of our Services must be brought within one (1) year of the event giving rise to it. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by UAE law applicable to consumers.
Legal Costs: The prevailing party in any legal or arbitration proceeding may recover reasonable legal fees and costs, unless otherwise determined by the deciding authority or UAE law.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any specific promotional terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and Meal Plan Dubai regarding the Services and supersede all prior understandings.
Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right. Waivers are only effective if made in writing by an authorised representative.
Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our obligations in the event of a business transfer, provided your rights are not materially affected.
Force Majeure: We are not liable for failures or delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, war, or utility disruptions. In such circumstances, we will notify you and take reasonable steps to minimise disruption, such as pausing your plan.
Relationship of Parties: Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, franchise, or agency relationship between you and Meal Plan Dubai.
